    Last week, we had our local dealer put a brand new genuine Toyota battery in our 2005 for $2145. That price included all taxes and a loaner car. It also includes the three year Toyota nationwide warranty.

    You're correct.
    I just think sometimes it's better to create a new post as opposed to resurrect a really old thread. Because the knowledge and opinions surrounding the topic may of evolved significantly in the past 8 years.

    Would have been cheaper to get the $3000 Toyota battery given the time and tow charges. Thanks for the post it is a good warning to others.
