    Thanks so much for your expertise on this subject. I have been finding out a lot on the early Prius' braking system. I'm just glad my daughter didn't crash or I didn't bringing it in for service.

    Hi Patrick,

    I responded to your email. Thanks again. It is working great now with the replacement of the 47071-47010/Pub Sub A. It was an expensive job but much less than it could have been. I'm appreciate the brakes are better than ever, but will be watching them more close now.

    I didn't want to be down on the little car that I loved and trusted my daughter in, but felt a little shocked because of such a failure with the very limited mileage and it was well taken care of.

    This car needs to last, and I feel it will now! :)

    Thanks for the update. Looks like the brake pressure accumulator pump was the culprit.
