15 year Unlimited Mileage Inverter Warranty

    That's good news! I'd wondered whether I'm covered. My "Certified" car was supposedly up-to-date on recalls, service campaigns, etc. when I bought it last September. No letter about that warranty from Toyota so far.

    I have bought the first one back in june..the previous owner said there is a recall to be done so I did that. The second Prius I bought in September from Toyota dealership.

    IIRC, the software issue is one where the degree of cooling is increased - no? The software flash is/was done to the hi-hy & its Lexus counterpart as well. That being the case - the robustness of the inverter isn't in question .... just the present ability to manage high temp's which becomes an issue during extended/heavy use.

    Extended use as in commercial taxi service? Is there a different program today that leaves the electric torque as it was originally but changes the cooling pump operating duration? What I remember of the new software was cars being turned into turds with pathetic acceleration :( I have not been on the forum since.

    No I did not get the letter!!...feel like I'm gettin a bad case Gen2 jealousy.
    Gen3 batts are not dying either so far, so you guys are pretty much covered.
