    My 2005 went out at 47k. I had run it down once. No problems w/traction battery though.

    Mine will/would be 5 years in Jan, 85,000 miles. I'm having it changed as a precaution in the next few weeks. Even though I've never had a problem with it, 5 years is a decent service life and I don't want to face the soon-to-be subfreezing weather with an old battery.
