I bought my 2007 Prius used with 93k miles on it last May. In that time, I've put right at 15k miles on it. This is my second Toyota, and my 107th vehicle in the last 32 years. My first Toyota was a 2004 Toyota Matrix, which really got me hooked on them. Incredibly dependable, great mileage; overall, a very comfortable car. This year, I started modifying my Prius in preparation to convert it to a plug-in hybrid. Carbon fibre panels and body modifications to reduce weight and drag have just been finished. The car will be carbon fibre wrapped next month. I've also been upgrading all the lights to LED to reduce power consumption.

When I bought it from the dealership, I tacked on just about every warranty and extension I could. I've never owned a Prius before now, so I wanted to make sure I didn't get caught unawares. Battery Pack is warrantied for 300k miles, and I still have 30k miles on bumper to bumper. Average MPG has been 44-48, with the occasional tank hitting 50.2mpg, though that usually only happens on road trips. :)

2006 Prius with 138,000 miles on it. No problems yet. One set of brakes, on my 3rd set of tires. 1 set of spark plugs changed. Will be 10 years old in April. Best car I've ever owned. Only complaint is not to good in snow. But then if the roads are that bad I shouldn't be out in it, right?

I just rejoined after a few years of neglecting my Priuschat account.

We hit 100,000 miles back in October 2012. We bought ours new and are on third set of tires, second 'regular' battery, second set of spark plugs and struts. Oh and those damned lights (we missed the recall and paid a mint to have ours replaced after agonizingly trying to do it ourselves). We love our car. We imported it to Canada when we moved here a while back and have only racked up about 20,000 miles since then over the past 2-3 years so we are hoping to stretch its life out to about 12 years. Or more? At the rate we drive we likely won;t be hitting the 200,000 mile (320,000 km) club any time soon. We'll see how the bills pile up as he gets older.

This car has been such a great friend to us. We call him Pete :)

Do you have the anti-skid technology in yours? We find that between that and snow tires it's pretty good in snow. Or at least on ice. Its low clearance is inherently limiting in snow drifts.

I have also rejoined PC after a hiatus.
I have a 2007 Prius 3 that I have had since birth and I hit 100k back in July of 2013. I am now at 115,000. Best car I have ever owned and drives in the snow like a champ. I have been really wanting to upgrade to a Gen 3 because I kind of find the Gen 4's hideous and there are some amazing deals out there to be had. Unfortunately, I can't get my DH on board with a purchase so me and "Baby Girl" are going to ride the storm out together. Maybe the Gen 4's will grow on me, only time will tell.

My 2008 has 130,000 miles. We've replaced the lights back, front and fog. Unfortunately I had to may miles to qualify for the light recall. These lights cost way to much and my husband has finally figured out how to replace the lights without taking the whole front end apart. We had a font bearing go bad at about 100,000 miles and we replaced it ourselves. At about 60,000 miles we had the dashboard go black and the car would just stop running for no reason (sometimes on a 4 lane highway). After multiple trips to 2 different dealers and after having to pay for a rental car for 2 weeks they found out a wire was broken on something. I still don't know what it was but once they got the right replacement no more issues. Today we are checking out the brakes and rotors I'm hoping they are ok and the dealership is just trying to drum up extra x-mas money. LOL

My baby blue Prius just turned 105,000!! I bought it when it had 103k.... Few month ago haha. The reason I bought a Prius because they require less maintenance and simply last forever! I can't wait to reach 300k with my Prius! :ROFLMAO:

Hit about 149k and I'm still on original brake pads, 12v battery, and hybrid battery.

Routine oil changes at 10k, transmission fluid change every 60k, engine coolant every 100k, inverter coolant every 30k. Upgraded interior lights, plate lights, and reverse lights to LED. Buying used tires for $30 each, running 42 front/40 rear pressure. Some minor cosmetic wear. Undercarriage is good and rust free.

I keep a tire inflator, poncho, reflective belt, nonperishable food, water, 12v inverter for small electonics, matches, quart of oil, and jumper cables in the back. I'm ready for most basic contingencies :)

2005 demo bought Feb 2006 with 2000ish miles. Today at 100,500 miles. Gas oil, and all recalls.12v batteries every 4 years. Tires when worn. Replaced one very annoying, rattling heat shield a couple years ago. Changed interior bulbs to LEDs. Replaced HID light bulbs.
Today spent $1000(out the door) at Car-X for:
both front wheel bearing assemblies (no "good will" from Toyota--GRRRRR)+
    rotors("too rusty to resurface"?)+
    pads(3mm left/1mm right)+
rear brake service (90% left-isn't this a problem?, no parts)+
    water pump+
    serpentine belt+
Transaxle ATF fluid change (Toyota fluid)
    iridium spark plugs

2008 Prius, bought september 2014 with 91,000 on the clock, done 103,000 miles, had to replace front Discs (rotors) and Pads, all new tyres, have a cracked info screen which I've tried replacing the screen itself without success, the touch panel is cracked so have a spare one to try, and all the alloy wheels are corroded, so I intend to refurbish them myself. Apart from that and spending £500 on a service last year it hasn't let me down. Bought due to an Impreza WRX STI being used daily and costing a fortune in petrol!

What are the codes they make you think you need a new HV battery at only 100,000 miles?

It finally happened! Sadly, only 4k of these miles were mine. :p Bought my 2008 Prius in mid January because I was in an accident in my Corolla. (Don't drive tired on the highway) I have replaced the 12V battery, changed the transmission fluid, engine coolant and coolant pump. Love the car and I get 53 MPG in my commute.
