<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(inventor00 @ Oct 27 2006, 02:43 PM) </div> A friend of mine gave me one of those. It's amazing how much detail is there. Not much bigger than the Monopoly one, but has an interior. Here's a picture of it next to a regular Tomy...
There IS a Radio controlled Prius! One of my Japanese friends who has a Prius( he will be nameless or else he will be inundated with requests) sent me 2 Radio Controlled Prius! They are blue- about 1/38 ish size- the same one a person in Hong Kong has been selling on Ebay. Caul RC Prius Directions to put it together are in Japanese, but the vendor has a video of how to put it together http://caul.takaratomy.co.jp/build/index.html I do not think you can play with more than 1 at a time as they are on the same frequency.
I just bought two of them! They were 514YEN each or about $4.46USD each. You can get them here. http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10057688 I just hope they had them in stock as the release date still says early Aug 2007.
Look what I have here. A friend of mine came back from HK and bought me this. I am going to put it together and then do unlimited EV!! No plugging in. Just swap the battery. LOL. [attachmentid=11461]
<div class='quotetop'>QUOTE(usbseawolf2000 @ Sep 14 2007, 11:49 PM) </div> Oooo. It's diassembled. I can spray paint it white, add Starfleet decals, and have a third shuttlecraft. Sold. Have to do some more research on Chinese astronomers.
Took a shot after assembling it. [attachmentid=11494] I also took a video of the test drive. http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=3516820445904375945
I finally got my two R/C Prius. Very easy to put together. It looks like you might be able to mod it so you can have 2 running at the same time. I took a look at the circuit boards of both the transmitter and receiver and it looks like they may have designed it to have at least two settings. There are some missing resistors/diodes/caps on the boards that we might be able to replace. Only problem is that they did not label the board as to what goes where for what setting. Also need to figure out how to disengage the motor so you can glide longer. I think I might do some test runs to see how fast they go on a scale mph. Now I just need to get some LiOn batteries for extended EV range.
