there is a hardware mod where you interrupt a speed input to the mfd for bluetooth that also will free up the radio messages

yes, there is a user-selectable setup prefernce for that. so the wife says you can't buy a car that doesn't show the radio 24/7? good to see...
all i know is my own personal experience. recalls aside, i had a buick that had gone thru 3 transmissions and was totally worn out after 6 years....
