Could be a hairline break in the fuse. Hard to see, intermittently works. Try a new fuse.
This is the default operation in the USA. I used Carista to change it from three to five flashes.
I noticed a different fuse box configuration between the USA and Malaysia. Perhaps abubin has a JDM version.
