Take the fob battery out, that should do it.

The wiring to the homes may be underground, but the transformers are usually at ground level.
I had the low coolant issue and had it repaired per the TSB, no charge. The problem was with the exhaust heat exchanger.

Not sure about this, but didn't the Prius add an automatic engine shutoff after ~1 hour? Not sure what model year either...
