I dont know where the comparison comes from, but, the catalytic converter and the EGR cooler are two different types of animal and are not related...
Hybrid battery and 12v battery are in perfect condition.
I get much better mileage on the highway than in town. I cant get out of the 30's in town. On the highway I get upper 40's.

The pump did not run when I opened the door. I think it only runs when the fob is in proximity and open the door. I keep my fob in the house...
