Honestly. Just take it into the dealer.
I have a 12 C and i live in PA which means salty roads. However, the only rust in my engine is on clamps and bolts. There is NO rust on the inverter.
I haven't looked into this any further. Haven't had the time. I was hoping someone else would've been more curious than me lol.

If you have a 4 then they are factory installed. Take it to a Toyota dealer and see what they say.
Most door panels are easy. I would start behind the inside door handle there is usually a screw or two. Then look in the arm rest. Might be one...

I take mine to Toyota service centers for warranty reasons. If anything ever comes up they were the only ones that have ever touched that car.
