I just had the same problem for the first time with my 2007 Touring. Was down to four pips, went to the station and filled with over 4 gallons....
I believe you will also "regenerate" when the car is in ready mode but parked.
I read on one of the 2010 threads that Toyota would not be making Touring versions after 2009.
My 2007 will not lock with the door button when the car is running.
