Really? You just replace the paper filter and nothing else? I guess every Toyota I change oil on is wrong then. They all have spin on oil filters.
I should add with the exception of the new Supra. It's basically a BMW and has the BMW straight 6. That Toyota might have a permanent oil filter...

Have you tried the slightly longer oil filter? It's longer but still well above the oil pan. You do any damage to the longer filter you have...

Gen 3 is not gen 2. This is the gen 2 forum.
I have never seen a part number for rear complete strut assemblies. Have you checked KYB's website? If it's not there they dont exist.
As a resident of California I would say it's deteriorating quickly.
You live in California? Tell them your going to contact the Bureau of Automotive Repair and see what happens.
Did you buy the plugs on EBay? There have been many reports of Fake NGK plugs being sold on that site.
