Hi I haven't looked at this stuff very frequently but occasionally my recorded max speed over a tank would be an unreasonably high number, so I could be getting occasional spikes. There could also be difference between gen 2 and gen 3. Here are MPH from last 10 tanks:
80
82
82
115
78
79
259
79
80
82
The 115 and 259 are definitely wrong. I would say if you get a good result filtering the spikes then do it. Good luck!
Hi! Thank you for you answer.
You are talking here about hundreds of km driven... I'm talking about seconds...
OK - my ID is coming in every 25ms and in worst case I get a huge spike every 10 frames... I'm not happy with that, but I don't know, if it is me or Toyota ;)
Could I somehow send you a sample of my data to look in?
Regards
Mat
OK a spike every 10 frames does seem like too much. Again gen2 and gen3 can be different. I vaguely remember someone here by the name of "Frenchi" or something similar who was very good at gen3 (yours). Maybe try to find him and ask.
Interesting - I wrote my own small sniffing program for my microcontroller and the spikes are gone! So - it is a software problem. Ihave to analyze the log offline - inconvinient, but at least seems my hardware to be OK ;)
