Followed perhaps by a quick beating about the head and shoulders with a humor clue-by-four. You do realize, (well, maybe not), that I wasn't addressing the topic of the thread at all, but was commenting only on the the proposition which I quoted in my reply? But, before spending too much time trying to figure out how you missed the whole point so spectacularly, I would recommend that you first get that blood pressure looked at. That bulging throbbing vein on your forehead is looking a tad angry.

Because one can be as quiet as they wish in the carpool lane but if they're HOV stickerless and still visible to the outside world (CHP included) then they'll still be ticketed if they're driving solo.

If I visit California, and since my state has no HOV lane stickers, can I legally drive in the HOV lane with my Prius? If I plead ignorance will they let me off? We would do that for you, if we had HOV lanes. Actually there may be one in Portland now but I haven't seen it yet.
