    I have the same problem on my 2005 Prius and it is bothersome. Did you find a solution? Did you try SeaFoam?

    Valve tap?

    Thanks for the suggestions. Will find some 5w-40 and see if that helps. If not, then will just live with it.

    Does it make a difference that I'm using mobil 1's 10,000 mile synthetic? They promote or "guarantee" that it will hold up for 10,000 miles or 1 year.
