Glad to hear the problem was corrected. However, I would suggest that a Malware/Spyware scan be performed on the computer as a good precaution....
For Mac users, I highly recommend NetNewsWire (link) for a RSS/Feed/Atom Reader. I've always known RSS to stand for "Really Simple Syndication".
