I think removing the insulation around the existing regulator and removing one of the two resistors is far easier than fabricating a regulator....

I think I just need one more post now, bear with me.
I also bought a little different camera. It was the same as far as circuitry I'm pretty sure, but I has the option to adjust the camera position....
I used a 12V camera, and altered the circuitry similar to what wilcoelec suggested. The only difference was instead of replacing both resistors...
The kick panel. I really wanted to tie it into the headliner, but it really is a BIG pain. I suspect it's even glued to the roof to some degree....
After reading every page on this thread and others, I got my camera up and working. Since this is my first post, I can't directly share the guide...
