Eureka! I did the dance with by switching the new fob and old fob in the order. Now both properly function! Thanks! >:D
Redid chicken dance. New fob now has complete functionality. Changed battery once more in the old fob... it still doesn't have proximity sensor...
All batteries are fine. As mentioned in my post. 12v was replaced last year, and it's fine. Tried the corrected dance like you said. No go....
