for $900 I'd install it was well assuming it worked.
Not an expert but based on my 4500m so far it uses much more energy the more pedal applied, not unlike using more at higher speeds vs low speeds.

the only concern I have and avoid is letting the car, fully charged, sit in the sun.
Car won't charge if batteries are in an environmental condition outside of the parameters...so plug in as normal and let the car decide.
I would insist on a replacement of the damaged glass. A good tint installer / shop does not cut on the car itself but of course its still out...

on a 17 mile commite this morning I got 156 mpg at 70-75 mph, had 1.2m left on battery. I drove it door to door in EV. This car is ridiculous.
nevermind, got it, just leave in EV mode. I got over 100 MPG on a 19 mile commute this afternoon...love it...all at freeway speeds.
