Sounds like you need a new alignment shop. It is usually hit and miss depending on the tech. Sounds like they screwed up the caster.
If I spend 20+k on anything I have some modest expectations that things work.

Yes you have the strength. Most lug nuts require around 85ft/lbs of torque, not a lot. A nice half inch torque wrench will act as a breaker bar....
