When the weather is damn cold, it seems to me that my mileage is better if I leave the car idling for several minutes before I start the trip.
Lets not forget that ECONOMICAL=SAFE driving !
I have factory set 195x55x16. The mileage is as perscribed.
Not only the higher temperatures will give you better mileage, but also the increased experience with the highway driving techniques.
From my overall experience with gasoline engines, the best oil level is halfway the Empty and Middle marks.
