Thank you. To be clear, are you saying that the portion of the air that is recirculated also goes through the filter (not just the fresh air)?
On the 2nd Generation Prius, does air pass through the cabin air filter when on recirculate mode? I assume that outdoor (fresh) air goes through...
Called Toyota about this same issue (oozey, melted rubber lift gate switch cover, which also became hard and snapped in the winter) on my 2008...
