Coast2Coast ~ Celebrating 50 years!

Carol and I celebrated 50 Years together by driving across the USA in "little blue". We left Virginia May 10th, first stop Marietta, GA to visit daughter, grand-kids & great-grandson Tommy! Drove across Alabama, to Tupelo,MS - Elvis' Birthplace, to Natchez,MS, Vidalia,LA, San Antonio,TX, El Paso Saddle Blanket Co, Lordsburg,NM, Petrified Forest, Grand Canyon, Route 66 - CHECK-UP & OIL CHANGE @ SOUTH COAST TOYOTA - San Diego, San Juan Capistrano, San Francisco, up Pacific Coast Highway, Pebble Beach, the Redwoods, Oregon, Washington, then TURNED RIGHT ~ Yellowstone, the Bighorn NF, the Badlands, WALL DRUG, the Corn Palace, Peoria, Indianapolis (The Racetrack & Crown Hill Cemetery), Gallipolis,Ohio (Silver Bridge, Bob Evans) Never trust GPS in West VA - we finally escaped WV, then enjoyed supper at Mrs. Rowe's Restaurant near Staunton, VA before cruising into our driveway on June 30, 2010. Miles traveled: 9656 including U-turns :-) Lots of aggressive mountain driving = 44.8 mpg.
