I was told you could help out with Gen 2 issue c2301, 40, 10 and 581 transmission ecu. I've done everything just not swap the transmission and I've gone through all of the mentions in this forum. I was told you mentioned about a bad ground or loose wire on the ecu a few years back. Thanks in advance
I didn't notice this post until now. The shift control actuator assembly (which engages the transaxle parking pawl) might need to be replaced, which is much easier than replacing the transaxle. Test the shift control actuator by removing three bolts that secure it to the transaxle. Slightly move the actuator away from the transaxle case while rotating it.
If the actuator rotates smoothly then it is OK and you would replace the transmission control ECU. Consult the repair manual which you can obtain at techinfo.toyota.com

Never follow anyone else’s path. Unless you’re in the woods and you’re lost and you see a path. Then by all means follow that path.
Hello Eddie! Did you still have the Prius for sale? I’m an enthusiast and live about an hour and a half from you.
Hey still in touch with Jack? My version 1.0 just threw the red triangle and before I replace it was wondering if he might want it 2 troubleshoot since I’m replacing Eric Rector 412 503 5140
Please send 2009 Prius manual to [email protected]. Just moved to Spain and bought one with less than 25K miles on it. No manual. Can't figure out how to dim dash as only dimmer is for fog lights (touring version).
