Has anyone had the plastic from the Timing Chain slides/slippers or Damper break down and start to show up in their oil?

I been trying to figure out what the particulars are in my oil and that the oil this I can think of.

How big are the particles? Post a picture? Any recent work?

What's the miles and how long have you had it?

Maybe it's someone using a dirty funnel, got particles in there?

That is the most likely source.

I think the timing chain slippers are black or else they're a white nylon I guess they would be sweet tea colored if they were soaked in oil But if they're black they won't take on anything obviously.

Sometimes when you open a quart of oil, there is a safety ring that detaches from the cap. Maybe one of those rings, when the bottle is turned upside down during your pour, the ring fell in the engine.

If you still got the oil filter, cut it open and check in between the pleats to see how bad the contamination is.
