Hello all! Just looking for a little advice. Currently own a 2011 Prius, and am considering purchasing a 2018 Prius Prime Advanced with 118000 miles on it. Visually it appears in good condition, and the price is $14K.

I don’t know about the price since the market is so variable but I’ll comment on the other things

    • Does it have a full service history?
    • Are the tyres in good conditions or need replacing soon?
    • Ask for a map update if it hasn’t been done since new (those are around $200 from Toyota). Doesn’t hurt.
    • Is there a HV battery test? It’ll obviously has degraded but just want to know by how much

I'm a bit suspicious of the price... It's way lower than what most people pay for a used Gen4 Plugin on the west coast. But if the car checks out, you aren't going to find a price as good as that and if you don't buy it right away, someone else will.

Curious to see the looks of that Gen4. Hope that got a good service history

I took a look see at kbb.com in Portland OR and found 3 2018 Prime Advanced from Dealers in the area. I clicked on the cheapest one with 78,871 - blizzard pearl white - $20.800
The next one is selling for $22k and the 3rd is $24k

Is it a private sale? They typically sell for less than the dealer gets for them. Don't ask me why the dealer can get more these days.....
