    55.8 mpg:eek:

    Better than my Gen II, but not by much. It's been hotter than hades down here in the far southwest corner, however. But still. A 14mpg drop from the last tank?

    Time to test drive a Tesla?

    Really?
    My best month ever was August of this year. The PIP loves hot, humid weather it seems.
    June = 101 mpg
    July = 101 mpg
    August = 113 mpg

    I'd have to second ny_rob, my experience is that A/C is much easier on the PiP's gas use than having to heat the cabin. Is there anything else about August that might have done it?

    Yep!
    I agree, thats what gave me some great EV trips, many 19-20 miles of all EV, most trips in a hot August! :)

    Not sure why humidity would help. But possibly.

    I can't explain it either- but the PIP loves it hot- and I'm not shy about using the AC either!
    The last few days around here have been in the 70-71 deg range in the mornings. My mpg has been in the mid 90's to 101 at the end of my 28 mile morning commute.
    Today was exceptionally hot- it was already 81 deg when I left for work. At the end of my 28 mi commute this morning I was at 116 mpg on the display. That ties my all-time record for my morning commute. Like I said- the PIP loves heat!

    What do you set the AC at?

    74-76 deg.

    I had to edit my post above- when I went back to the PIP at lunchtime and turned it on- I was at 116mpg for this morning's commute!
