wondering about replacing shocks and struts

    I was wondering if anyone here replaced there shocks and stuts. I have a 2012 gen 111 prius 2 with 112k miles and was wondering how to know if it is time to replace the shocks and or struts. thanks

    I replaced front struts, springs, sway bar links on my 2010 at 149K, they looked awful, especially the links. Ride felt a little tighter/quieter. Did rear struts at 152K on general principle. 10 years was plenty IMO.

    I changed my suspension parts with OEM at 6 years from new (157,000 miles). It definitely needed it and the new parts were a great improvement in ride and handling. I should have done it sooner. So far, I see the responses come from Hawaii and SoCal with the parts changed out around 150K or so. Your extreme weather and temperatures (combined with sand and road salt) would only hasten the need for change. Go for it.
