I'm going to install a noise generating device (electronic sirien) under the hood. I'll need to run a wire thru the bulkhead into the passenger compartment for the control circuit. Is there a known good place to run a wire?

There are a couple of spare gland areas in the existing firewall
penetrations. See this for an example, but I *did* have to cut
through it myself and getting access to the corresponding inside
area wasn't easy. Removing the cowl might help on the external
part, and if you want to do a *really* clean job then taking
out the whole top dash panel may open up the whole best path.
    .
There's also a fairly large hole that the steering shaft passes
through, but you'd have to keep anything you run through there
    away from the moving parts.

As a workaround, you could run a cable through the side of the AC vent and route it up through the cabin air intake. You'll have to take off the windshield wiper tray. But it has the advantage of easy removal when the vehicle is retired.

    GOOD LUCK!
