With Honda promising a debut of the 2009 Insight Hybrid at the Paris Auto Show in a few weeks, any chance based based on past history that Toyota will try to steal a little of Honda's Spotlight by leaking a few more details on the Gen III 2010 Prius prior to the Paris show?

    They won't have too,
Honda doesn't even offer a RED color to their line, and the ONLY interior color is BLUE!!!

I do don't even think I want one!!

    Besides,
    Barcelona Red Rocks ...

I am taking the opposite approach.

There has been speculation about a plug-in Prius for years. At first, the introduction year was guessed at 2009 but that moved to 2010. So many people are convinced that they will be able to purchase a plug-in Prius soon. That's going to cause a lot of attention to be focused on Toyota.

So now the Volt is being hyped and Honda reintroduces their new Insight concept. Both cars scheduled for release when? Right round 2010. Coincidence? I'm not convinced.

Don't think so. Toyota has the NAIAS for that. Also, the Lexus hybrids are the biggest sellers in Europe.
