I want to change engine, is there a possibility to assemble a 2013 Prius engine? Is that even possible?
    Thanks!

The specs are a bit different. 2008 being a Gen 2 and 2013 being a Gen 3 has its difficulties. Gen 2 has a 1.5 L (1NZ-FXE) which you will find on a Yaris or a Vios. wonderful reviews about economy. The Gen 3 has a 1.8 L (2ZR-FXE) nice all rounder too apart from the head gasket problem I have read about. For what I know the chances of it being a drop in is very unlikely.
I would however think a Vios, Yaris will be possible since on paper they have the same engine code.
I wish you good luck and success!

Could it be done quickly or with a reasonable budget? Not even remotely; zero chance of an easy day. But hey, I've seen a Toyota Tercel with Mercedes engine, so if you have too much money and/or time on your hands, knock yourself out.

It will not be a easy thing to do for sure. But can be a fun project! Live life buddy! What ever makes you happy!
Maybe someone who has done it will be along soon to give you some pointers!

I’d go with the hellcat engine, it’s already done for gen 2.

The 1.5L Prius c engine might be a better fit.

Yepers same engine as the vios and Yaris the all run the (1NZ-FXE) but the good thing about it is the hybrid extra stuff should come with it. What ever they are!
