    Hi there!

Let me first say that about 6 months ago i flushed my entire coolant system. Used OEM fluid and did it by the instructions in haynes manual.

I own several gen 2s and im just now experimenting with Hybird Assistant App. Today i ran a report and i was shocked to see a spike in my engine temperature. Anyone know what may cause this?

Ive attached all the screenshots from Hybird Assistant so you can give me some feedback. I know my hyburd battery is shot. Ill be buying a new battery next week. My main concern is the spike in temperature. You can see that in the attached screenshots.

    Great running condition???

I haven't had any issues but i want to address any problems before they become BIG problems!

    Thank you!

I didn't look at your report... But with high coolant temps the first step I'd reccomend is taking off your radiator cap when engine hasn't yet been started for the day and top it off. Do that a few days in a row it usually addresses these symptoms, unless you have a leak or a bad engine coolant pump.

What you see in the report is some kind of glitch.

At the exact time that the ECT temperature graph spikes up to 240°, the short and long term fuel trim numbers spike down to (-)90% ; that's not good data as those values are not valid.

    I'll assume it's a software (app) glitch.

Also, actual ECT is not going to immediately jump by 60° for 10 seconds then drop. An intermittent electrical fault (short circuit) usually pegs the reading at 256°+ and sets a fault code.
