If you own or have owned a diesel, the Diesel Driver magazine is asking you to rank your reasons for buying it.

I used to have VW diesels, so I took the poll. There should have been a follow up, if you don't own a diesel anymore, why not?

    I have 637k on my '92 F250, 247 (or so) k on current engine.

those ford 7.3 TDs are indestructible, but fuel economy isn't exactly great.

and I am moving on because the trans has a knock, and is starting to go...still haven't found anything capable of replacing the truck though

The auxiliary on my sailboat is a diesel. We went with diesel primarily to avoid explosive fumes, but the diesel is also more reliable and more fuel efficient.
