first post to forum. I have a 2007 prius that's done 450,000km+, mostly country km's. It has just started on drive home today making a loud whining noise from the engine while travelling at approx 60kmph and accelerating to 100kmph. The Whining noise is similar to the noise that the car makes when you have run down the car battery wile waiting to pick up the kids from work and the car starts trying to recharge the battery. Except the battery level on the car was at approx 50% so I don't think it was a low battery issue, and the whining was much louder. We've had several EV's and hybrids over the years. Thanks Ivaprius
I have seen a bad inverter do some stuff like that. First I replaced 12 volt. And that helped for a little bit. Then that 12 volt went bad. I really didn’t think anything about it at first. Because they was used. Anyways I replaced the inverter bc it had a crack by the mount. The noise went away and it had no more issues with 12 volt being weak iPhone ?
