which gas station have the best quality gas?

    hello all, im a newbie from South California I have a 2014 Prius model and wonder which gas is the best for me? and which gas number 87 89 91? Thanks

    welcome and congrats! definitely 87, prius doesn't need higher octane, and it won't help anything. brand? i use mobil, because it's right down the street, but have no idea which are the best. whenever i'm on the road, i fill up wherever convenient, never noticed a difference. i think there might be a top tier gas list somewhere.

    California would have reformulated gasoline, so that implies fairly much the same recipe everywhere except possibly the detergents, whereas TopTierGas.com stations agree to add a bit extra detergent. Regular grade is fine.

    Even Costco now sells "Top Tier" gasoline, usually has the lowest price in Southern California. It's what I use.
