Where's My HeatShield?

    On 12/2 I ordered an '04-05 Prius HeatShield from "Dan Cooper" at the Prius Accessory Shop within this site.

    Paypal confirmed my order later that day. No tracking or customer service information from the Accessory Shop was or has been offered since. My emails have gone unanswered.

    As of now I have not received the product.

    Fellow Prius enthusiasts, beware of this crummy operation.

    I got my heatshield within 10 days back in August (along with a stupid, expensive UPS fee.. what the hell is a storage fee? I didn't tell you to store anything!) PM Danny, he's resolve the issue.

    I ordered mine on 10-27-05 and have not received anything. Paypal charged my credit card, e-mails unanswered. Heck of a way to run a business. :(

    UPS delivered my HeatShield Monday, 1/16/06, after the manufacturer's intervention. Six weeks for a simple online order is too long, Danny's PayPal excuses notwithstanding. <_<

    I guess it's a good thing I'm not running a business, then. The PriusChat Shop was set up as a way to facilitate orders for people interested in getting in on the group rates that I'm able to get for PriusChat members. It's not meant to be side income, if there is any profit that ends up coming from any products it is all put back into PC in the form of server costs, bandwidth, software fees, etc.

    Due to the # of problems with PayPal and orders that go through it, I have changed many of the ways I do things. I now audit PC Shop orders almost daily against what PayPal has, and have re-routed the Shop email address to point to my regular PC email address.

    I appreciate the feedback, good or bad, but I think that you'll find that most people have found that when they buy something through the site they are given quality service and a good price. The problems I've had with PayPal have definitely been the exception.
