Where to get center console used? Aftermarket?

    The center console in my 2010 Prius (41,000 miles- out of warranty) has a broken cover and will not slide completely forward. Toyota service said that cost to replace (entire console required) is about $600.

    Any ideas on where to get a replacement or aftermarket for substantially less?

    most auto wreckers are linked into a national database for parts. So, pick a large wrecking yard and get them to give you a quote. The best price would come from a yard that has a Prius on the lot.

    Do you need the full console or just the cover? Toyota probaby only stocks the entire console. But, you might just need the cover unit.
