When should I change the timing belt in my 2004 Prius? I have been following the recommended maintenance program and my Prius is due for th 75k oil change/service.

never, isn't that great? the serpantine belt is another story. check it periodically for drying out, stifness and cracking. otherwise, it's fine. my 04 was lie brand new last spring with 95,000 miles.

All Prius have a timing chain, it is overkill to consider changing it before 250,000 miles, unless you have noisey symptoms.
