Swapped back to OEM 16 inch wheels, from my steel 15 inch wheels, after my Toyota dealer said I didn’t have spigot rings fitted, following my 100k service…
Maybe in your country those are the concentric rings that you see on some hub centric setups that have this plastic or metal ring that goes around the center of the rotor or on the back centers on the drum and lines the wheel up and then you put the bolts or the nuts on and tighten them up That's the only thing I can think of that would make sense for spigot rings but usually the factory 15s don't have any hub centric rings or anything they just drop on the four or five lugs and you bolt up or nut up is the case may be I didn't think the 16s had any rings or hub centric adapters or any of that either That's usually for aftermarket wheels usually the factory wheels go right on and off the car without a bunch of nonsense because that's just stuff you're going to lose or the tire place will lose or something will happen.
My 15 inch steel wheels came off a gen 4 Prius imported from Japan. And my 16 inch alloys are the OEM wheels that the car came with from factory, so no spigot rings needed for those. It was the end of the world, but wasn’t ideal either. They said the only things holding the wheels on were the wheel nuts, and the hub and wheel centre were not the same diameter. The rings look something like this.
Yeah, never heard them called spigot rings before. Over here they're called hubcentric rings. SM-G781V ?
