Is the "MFD" the screen which displays DVD Nav and backup camera? I don't really want that option. Are there any pictures of the console without this?

Great, thanks! I like that brushed finish.

Sure doesn't look as cool as the nav screen, but I doubt that smudge collector is going to be worth the money for me.

Hmm... How/where would one mount an aftermarket GPS device on this dashboard? ...

    1) windshield suction cup mount
    2) attach the mount to the plastic panel above and to the left of the steering wheel

Velco it to the dash board in front of the steering wheel and seeing through it like a normal dash would be.

or, depending on how long the neck of the holder is, mount it on the small front windows.

Velcro wouldn't last in hot climates - adhesive melts away too quickly. What's wrong w/ the weighted rubberized sand-bag?

In the silver package (#3) there seems to be an upgrade in the stereo. Will that stereo look the same as the one in the picture?

Most likely since it's the speakers that are upgraded and maybe an addition of an amp. The radio face should be the same except for a LOAD button for the CD Changer.

^^ x2. In addition there should be a JBL logo and steering wheel controls for bluetooth.

The JBL package uses an external, under seat amp. Note the location under the passenger seat of the Prius V.

brushed finish is awesome... it is not an big deal, but it is a lot better than shiny black plastic there in every other car... i am pretty sure every part will be brushed for better looks... i loved it on avensis, and many other people did too...

Not counting the amp, the difference between the 6-speaker standard package and the 8-speaker "premium" package are two extra tweeter components in the rear doors, correct?

BTW, the amp in that Prius V looks quite thin compared to the current 2G one. It's still under the passenger seat, right?

    Yes and a CD Changer

It appears to be the same brushed finish effect as the RAV4.

Should clarify that to being the amp is under the pax seat and the CD changer is in the dash. 6 disc for those without MFD, 4 behind the screen for those with. I know the feature list says 6 all the way around, but the demo cars only showed 4 as it seems there's less room when sharing the space w/ the NAV DVD player as well.

correct. It's the same with all Toyotas using this navigation setup.
