I've wanted to, for some time now, give you all a rundown of what I've experienced because I suspect few of you have racked up the miles I have. Admittedly, it feels a bit indulgent, even braggy, but not my intention. Here goes.

318,000 miles in 8 yrs & 2 months. Problems? Very few.

Brakes replaced at 230,000 miles. Should have gone closer to 200k as a few pads were getting scary thin. Pics available if you want.
The drivers seat covering, left bolster and behind right shoulder, have recently worn through. I need to find an upholsterer, I guess.
The paint on the spoiler and the clear coat on the roof are going and the clear coat on the hood at the break is following suit.
There is also a little rust just above the windshield, likely due to gravel thrown up in FL. I will need to get that dealt with reasonably soon and then repaint. It'll get professional detailing at that point, too. You should see the dirty headliner!
I wore out the top of steering wheel due to my typical one-handed style. Bought a cover.
A tie rod end is now showing wear as well and the sway bar links and bushings need replacing.
I had the motor mount replaced in January, my first actual repair. Until then, just oil, filters, tires, wipers & PM.
Spring will be expensive, relatively speaking.

Still on the original shocks! And both Sarasota and Detroit have their more-than-fair share of speed bumps, humps, tables, etc. I typically take them at about sub-10 mph for the gentler rubber humps, about 2 mph for the more abrupt asphalt bumps. One is starting to show a bit of wear and I expect to replace them in the next few (warmer) months.
I have never had or needed a front end or four wheel alignment.
Every bulb and fuse is still original.
I've replaced the starter battery twice, both in FL. Heat kills them faster than cold.
Until the latest tire installation in October I've averaged 56-57 mpg.

This car has been a dream. Proof that quality design, parts and assembly yield a quality product. The people in Hiroshima deserve a huge round of applause.
