Yesterday when I went to start my G3, on the far left of the instrument cluster I saw, very briefly, a LARGE yellow image of some sort, essentially right where the "safety belt" icon is at. It went away so fast that I did not have a chance to see it and am not really sure what it was- does anyone know what it may have been? It was mostly rectangular and about 1" wide x 1.5" tall...it dwarfed the safety belt red icon.

I looked through the Owner's manual, but didn't really see anything in there.

In the Gen-2, a yellow hazard light with a something like a snowflake image, briefly flashes on when the outside temp drops to 37-F. It's meant as a warning that the roads may be slick.

I'm guessing that this is the light you're referring to.

    A harbinger of fall weather...

The yellow triangle there is the "Master Warning" and there should be a companion alert in text on the MFD, if it's a persistent fault and not simply the check instrument bulbs/warnings portion of the start routine. That's probably what you're seeing. Section 5.02 in the manual.

    They said "rectangular" and BIG.
The "Hill-Holder" icon is there, yellow, and rectangular, but "small".

well at the corner of the eye, it could be bigger than it really is. Seems like the location is indeed the "Slip Indicator"
