    Hi Priuschat,

I have a 2024 Prius HEV Limited and I am wondering what type of 12v battery is in the trunk of the vehicle. It looks to be a Panasonic 345LN1-MF. Is this an AGM type battery or regular wet battery?

I have a battery maintainer for the winter period and it has a setting for regular 12v and AGM 12v. Just double checking before I mess something up.

    Thank you all!

Standard lead acid. It's not an AGM.

You might take a pic of the top of the battery in place and post it.

Any automotive 12 volt charger will charge either flooded or AGM style. It's just some chargers have a setting optimized for AGM, slightly higher voltage I think. Check your owners manual too, for amperage limit, probably 5 amp still (per 4th gen).

My CTEK 4.3 for example: in the manual it says to use the "snowflake" setting, for charging in extremely cold conditions, or with "spiral-wound" AGM's (the ones that look like a 6-pack). All other AGM's and regular flooded, just use the regular setting.
