What tires are you running now, do you like them?

I'm looking for tires for my 09 prius and need input. I have Yokohama TRZ on it now, and I have put 92K on this set! So, needless to say I am extremely happy with Yokohama tires. Only thing I will definitely change is size, I went to 195/65/15 and lost some mileage, so will go back to 185 stocks.

I am looking at the Yoko Avid Ascend, the Ecopia 422, and the Kumho tires. Not really in the budget for michelins, otherwise I would go for them (or Yoko).

Recommendations? should I stick with Yokohamas? Are the LRR the only way to go. I am particularly looking at tirerack because there is a warehouse on my way home from work, and I can arrange to pickup there and have them put on for pretty cheap, so that is a consideration too. I drive about 140mi / day round trip to work 80/20 highway/city.

Had a little time to research when I got home.. it's tough to turn down the Kumho for the price though...

Tireteam charges about 25 shipping including a discount, but charges no tax. So they are a little cheaper than picking up at the tirerack warehouse. I think i have it narrowed down to these.

I'm trying hard to get another 8K on them, and honestly think i could if I rotated the most worn to the back.. but that is another 20-30 bucks that I could put into new tires. At this point that makes more sense.. I got 90K + on a set of Michelins on my previous car, an accord.. Thought it was just the tires. I guess the high percentage of highway miles makes a big difference though.

 

Well, I came across what seemed like a deal too good to pass up. So, even though I was looking for more advice from the group, I went ahead and pulled the trigger on the Kumho KR21 set. They were 220 our the door from tire team. com. They had pretty good reviews most places I looked. If they get anywhere near the 92K I have on the current set of yokohamas I will be impressed.
