I just checked my tire pressure for the first time and was surprised to find them at 30 psi from the dealer. I want to run them high so I brought them up to 42 psi. Is this to high?

Michelin Energy Saver AS size 195x65x15, all four are inflated to 44 psi
which is max pressure as listed on the sidewall of the tire.

This is my second set. My first set I got nearly 70,000 miles and the wear was
perfectly even on all four tires.

35 and 33 because the dealer just deflated them for me in their "world-class multipoint wtv".

39f/37r. you're not too high, but you might want a 2psi differential like factory spec.

    PriusKitty,
Why did you buy the expensive 120 vac model?
There are a number of less expensive 12 vdc models, like this one.

    Amazon also has

because the 12 volt models overload the accessory outlet or melt the 12 volt adapter. I read the reviews from some of the 12 volt compressors

The fuse for the PIP 12 vdc power outlets are 15 amp. I can't find the amps of the 12 vdc compressor, but since it's made for a car, I wouldn't think it would exceed it.

is that true? because the sticker on the outlet door say max 120 W, which would imply just 10 A.

Is there a document/xls which maps higher tire pressure to more MPGs? It doesn't look like higher MPG affects tire performance, just comfort?

Update: OMG, I just checked and my tires were at 25! I just pumped them up to 42/40 which sounded like a good number based on other responses here.

Inflated 3 of our my 4 tires. The fourth tire blew the accessory fuse. Tried the other cig lighter port and blew that fuse as well. I guess I have to order a few fuses... any recos on getting 15a fuses online?
