Why didn't anyone tell me, that the only nice looking part of those ugly plastic wheel covers > the center cap, was removable ?

Okay.... So the tabs that hold it in the ugly arse wheel cover, don't snap into the decent looking aluminum wheels underneath, but I don't think that is anything a little super glue won't fix !

In any case, next week my friend and I are going to take the wheels off and do a complete blackout on them.... Other than the chrome Toyota emblem on the factory caps. After I got to looking at the factory wheels, I was surprised there was so much bare aluminum all the way around the wheel behind the spokes. I think I will do them with flat black paint, because it's a lot cheaper then Plasti dip, plus it will dry fast. Taking the wheels off to Plasti dip them anyway, and to spray the brake rotors black.

Anyway I think these center caps look great IMG_20191114_160308.jpg

Those plastic wheel covers, they are used for shipping, IMHO, feel free to discard them! The silver alloy rims, look great, no need to paint, or modify.

I see lots of gen 3 prius’, missing one, or more, wheel covers. I had a set of four, brand new, removed at purchase, that I offered to sell, online, on craigslist, etc, but no one interested. Sadly, when I moved, I tossed them in the rubbage bin.

Yeah leave them as-is, get the correct centre caps.
