I went to my mechanic, he told me to buy the parts. I showed him a Brake Booster Pump on eBay, but he says I also need the module that goes with it. I went on eBay but wasn't able to find the module itself.

Since the Brake Booster Pump is a common failure on the prius, I was thinking about just getting a new OEM one instead of used - there's a good chance the used ones might not last very long.

That's a very good observation a used one might not last very long Very likely actually so for parts like this if the car is worth it and you're going to keep it etc you probably want to buy both of the parts and you're going to be about 12 or $1,400 in it's not a module It's the two pieces everybody will jump in in a minute and name them all correctly and all that but you want to buy them both That's what Toyota recommends when the failure occurs some dealers won't even do it any other way they'll sell you the part and let you get it installed and find out that you need the other piece and then well there you go.
