What kind of person would buy a Prius, anyway?

    THAT'S IT! We're agnostic!

other than that, i'm twice your age, but a huge gadget freak and computer geek. i think the computer part is, maybe not universal, but probably common in many who have become fascinated with the prius.

My 76 year old father, a dedicated Luddite, fell in love with my Prius this weekend. He normally drives LARGE American cars but is a bit freaked out at the quality of his last few cars and the price of gas.

Much to my amazement he is probably going to put himself on the list.

22 year old female. Going the psych route in grad school

i am a student (like i just said) and a part time nanny for a 6 month old boy

i am pagan (not wiccan) I have flirted with becoming a druid, but have since decided to remain generic pagan

I spend most of my "free" time doing school stuff. I have 4 ferrets and they are my biggest hobby. I am a "ferret person". I also make custom infants and I am about to sign a contract with a doll shop in Texas.

i dont really have a favorite band, i like "old" Cher and 80's Madonna and I have a real thing for Simon and Garfunkel (saw them in concert a few months ago)

TV shows...who has time for TV? I own all the Star Trek next gens and DS9s and have watched all of them after buying the DVDs. I will be buying the Voyager set soon. I am also a HUGE x-files fan. Besides nick at night reruns of wings in bed at night and occasionally the news if something important is happening that is it.

Movies....Harry Potter (and not ashamed to say it), The American President, Matrix trilogy, and cheesy fake action movies (Hackers, Gone in 60 seconds, Real McCoy)

I dont drink (kinda sad to be 22 and not like it, but I dont)

    Occupation: Translator (Spanish/English)

    Religion: Atheist

Church membership: Unitarian Universalist (where it's perfectly okay to be an atheist.)

Socio-political leanings: Pacifist, socialist, environmentalist, human rights.

No real hobbies as such, but free-time activities include physical fitness, reading, sitting at the computer*, spouting off about the injustice of the world, theater.

Marital status: single, but still looking. (For a physically-fit, caring woman in her 30's or 40's.)

Favorite music: Anything before 1791, the traditional musics of most cultures, jazz circa 1930, Cuban son, Spanish coplas.

Favorite books: The Idiot (Dostoyevsky), La guerra del fin del mundo (Mario Vargas Llosa), Cuentos de Eva Luna (Isabel Allende), Letter to an Imaginary Friend (Thomas McGrath), El maestro de esgrima in spite of a very disturbing ending (Arturo Perez-Reverte), Great Expectations (Dickens), and with some latitude for calling it a "book," Macbeth.

Don't own a TV. Running a TV in your house seems to me kind of like living in a cesspool.

Favorite movies: The Chaplin Mutuals and the Essanay shorts. O Brother Where Art Thou? ("'Tis a fool looks for logic in the chambers of the human heart.")

I don't drink. But if I did it would be Blatz beer, because I like the name.

    * We automatically have computer-interest in common. There's planty of Prius owners who will never see any of this because surfing the internet is about as interesting to them as watching water boil. If I had a life I'd probably not be here either.

On the downside though, I won't be able to walk through deserted streets and find abandoned Priuses whose owners have ascended unto Heaven.

(Question for the religiously knowledgeable: when the rapture comes, does your key fob go with you?)

Loved Rush. Attending several of their concerts is the reason my hearing's as bad as it is (background ringing).

I wouldn't mind it so much if, instead of the ringing, I got a constant low-volume shuffled replay of their Signals album.
