What kind of music do you crank in your Prius?

I almost always use entune and put on 90s Pandora stations

 

Same as me but in the usual daily city traffic I prefer the radio news & music. Anyhow in Prius I keep most of the time the audio off - listening to the sounds of "priusic" - how does it work.

 

Are you asking for non mainstream cds?

I have 400+ tunes on my iPod, from the 50's to the 90's and maybe a few from more recent years. The mix includes everything from rock 'n roll to country to movie themes. I rarely listen to regular radio, maybe once in a while for traffic and news. The iPod is set to random play, and is on anytime the ignition is on. I like the feature that automatically mutes the music when I make or receive a call through the hands-free system.

 

I like it too BTW - I wonder if US versions also mutes the music from external devices when traffic information and warnings are broadcasted?

 

Not from my limited experience. I have WAZE on my Android cellphone, and its audio messages re traffic, police, and hazard reports comes through the phone speaker without affecting the music.
Is the music muted for external devices in Poland?

 

I listen to Sirius mostly...90's on 9, Lithium, Octane, 80's on 8, the Pulse, Top20.

And when nobody is around I sing too

 

Yes, I did not even realise I was once surprised listening from AUX (connected Sony external device) when my audiobook was suddenly interrupted by traffic announcement. In addition - it was not only muted but paused as well - so I didn't miss a second from current track

 

Are you getting traffic announcements through Entune? I don't use Entune at all, so I am not familiar with how that works. My iPod also pauses when I use the phone through the car hands-free system.

 

I play 90's/early 2000's rap, and 1970's rock and roll.

 

I don't have Entune.

 

Audiobooks for me. Currently listening to The Hunger Games. I get free digital download rentals from my local library. The Overdrive App doesn't like Entune all that much but it works.

 

Contemporary Christian music (rock genre).

 

Classic Rock when I have the radio on in my Prius

 

Lately I have been listening to the Sirus Vinyl Trac Classic Rock and the Coffee House Jazz. I get the first 90 days free so I have one more month of free stuff to go. I looked at the Sirus web site and I can get any 50 stations for $8.00 per month + tax. I think I may do it since it is the least expensive of the Sirus packages and I get more than enough to listen to. I do play my music library from my Iphone on occasion, but I use that for my weekly 5K workout so I ahte to wear it out in the car.

 

When I do listen to the radio, I listen to The Blend on Sirius. But I freakin LOVE Entune. I also pretty frequently play music from my iPhone via Bluetooth.

 

Well, if I'm not listening to bluegrass, I'll put something like Toad The Wet Sprocket or 'til Tuesday on.
